FOR CONTEXT:

If you don’t know, The Mummy Freaking 4 is the result of a Popcast episode last Spring when Jamie was sick, so Erin joined me and in the episode we discussed fixing Zac Efron.

One of the pitches was in the form of a reboot of The Mummy franchise where Zac plays the older child of Brendan Fraser’s Rick and Rachel Weisz’s Evelyn. After the episode, this idea stuck with me and I’ve been writing and working on it off and on ever since.

I’ve even published some pages on it in this very newsletter BUT the experience felt wrong and mostly wooden because of the off-putting format that screenwriting can sometimes be.

WHICH IS WHY, The Mummy Freaking 4 will now exist exclusively in the audio format.

As always, the rights to the The Mummy franchise and intellectual property do not belong to me and I do not mean to assert that they do. I have created all this merely as a fan of action adventures, the return of Brendan Fraser, and of rescuing Zac Efron’s potential.
