✍️ MINI-ESSAY: ✍️


Kevin Sorbo was doing a lil essaying a couple week’s ago on a topic near and dear to his heart as the former acting avatar of the Greek god Hercules.

This essaying was mostly about the boyz to men crisis in America and as a former boy who is now a man and the current parent of a young man, I was eager to hear Former Hercules’s thoughts sooooooo LET’S DIVE IN, SHALL WE?

"Leave the saving of the world to the men? I don't think so," quipped Elastigirl in Pixar’s "The Incredibles." That was 2004. Since then, Helen Parr’s popular feminist maxim has come to define Hollywood’s endemic anti-man ethos.”

NOW LOOKY HERE. You may think it’s strange to begin an essay about the attack on modern masculinity by referencing a five-year-old movie that is oriented around a man so incredible that his literal name is MR. INCREDIBLE. But God, and KevSorbo both work in mysterious ways so your expectations can suck a butt.

And even though, Kev never addresses it, it’s clear that the subtext of this movie and quote reference is a frustrated arousal towards Elastigirl.
