This heist meets The Wire meets Blue Collar Oceans 11 is a fantastic slow burn procedural that also happens to be inspired by true events. When a crew of robbers intending to rip off a small sum accidentally happens upon 26 million in gold bars, hijinx ensue for both the criminals and law enforcement.
Probably the coolest thing about this show though is how it features several performances by relative unknowns who look to be on the cusp of stardom.
+ The Taylor and Travis Fan Fiction That’s Tearing TikTok Apart
If this headline doesn’t make you take TikTok more seriously, I don’t know what will. Also, the ebook at the center of this controversy is called “Roughing the Princess.”
From the author of The Nix, this is the story of Jack and Elizabeth who meet as college students in the 90s and over the next 20 years, they’re forced to grapple with all the normal issues of life with marriage, parenting, and their professions, but also all the social influences and movements crowding their existences.
And to do it, they have to face themselves, face each other, and face all the things from their pasts that inform their present.
Truly, this is simultaneously a hilarious, sad, smart, and jarring book about marriage and I absolutely loved every second of it.

Survivor Recap, wherein Jason and I recap the events of episode six.
Over Under Achievers #128, wherein Jason and I talk about youth sports parents, it being Christmas List SZN, whether or not Notre Dame is okay, and which football coaches are hot, not, or just tater tots.
✍️ MINI-ESSAY: ✍️
I, like many citizens of the global reality, watched The Fall Guy trailer recently and loved it to a point of such bewilderment that I need to unpack my thoughts here with all the D.A.B.S (dearly and beloved supporters, obvi).
GOOD VIBES
Emily Blunt and Gos’s chemistry
Y’all pray for Krasinski right now. There’s minimal spanky stuff happening in the trailer but even Walter White would be overwhelmed by all the chemistry happening in this trailer.
British people saying the word “saw” as “sawr”
At the 1:13 mark in this trailer, Blunt’s character does some finger guns and then tries to holster them by saying. “It’s done. You never SAWR it” which to me immediately sounded like “CHEERIO GUV-NAH. QUITE RIGHT EVENING, INNIT? UP UNTIL I SAWR YOUR KNACKERED FACE”
Bon Jovi music
Is Bon Jovi having a moment? Literally no idea! All I know is that I can’t ever forget this biographical nuance of Jon Bon Jovi’s life.
When I first saw this, I legitimately thought Wikipedia was trying to tell me that JBJ was the product of a four-way between two Marines, a barber, and a Playboy Bunny turned florist.
Four-way parental heritage or not, any time you take a classic rock song and then slow it down and change the pacing, I’M IN.
If Downton Abbey would have done this with Creed’s Higher, I’d have never missed an episode.
