Jason, can we get an Invisalign update? The frustration was real in a past adhd episode. I totally get it!

I need a gambling primer. For example, what are odds? What does “odd makers have him as the favorite at 400”? - or something like that that Knox says. Over/Under 2.5?

What does this mean?

All the gambling stuff…no idea what any of it actually means!

How do I sound like I am interested in sports to help my odds on dating apps?

My question is - can Jason elaborate on his love of Sophia Petrillo and David Rose? Clearly he has excellent sitcom taste in addition to NFL taste (writing this as I look at the giant Josh Allen poster I got my 10 year old for his birthday last week).

Nerf gun to your head, which is better, barbecuing meats or mowing lawn with the zero steer?

When watching football, and a ball is dropped during live play, and is still able to be recovered, do ALL men scream “BALL!!! BALL!!! BALL?!!!”? Or is it just the one that I’m married to? 🏈

In what ways are you and Jason’s fathering similar? Different?

With Father's Day upcoming, what do the dads want this year? Specifically, a Canadian-American/New England father who doesn't need another mug and doesn't do much grilling or sports watching? He loves history, genealogy, his children and grandchildren.

Has he read Boys on the Boat? It’s excellent and I recommend it for Father’s Day all the time.

Emily Ruth's avatar

Oooh, I don't think he's read that one, thank you!!

New Netflix interface. Is it really better?

How do I not let my favorite sports teams losing ruin my mood?!

Signed a disgruntled Colorado Avalanche fan that really thought we were going to win the cup this year.

As a University of Houston basketball fan, what really helped me was remembering at the end of the day, whether my team won or lost wasn’t going to make a huge difference in my life. Sure, the next day it would be a little easier to have some pep in my step but ultimately the outcome didn’t need to dictate how I handled the days following. I will also admit I avoided all discussion about the game for a bit afterwards - podcasts, social media, etc. Sorry for your loss!

Also I just read the instructions and realized the point of this was not to actually answer the questions 😂 since I already typed it out I’ll just leave it sorry Knox and Jason!

What are your proudest moments as a father? What do you wish yours had taught you or taught you earlier?

Buying my first house! Will have no money after that deposit for repairs and updates. What are your opinions on DIY fixes and updates, like painting walls or adding tile? Do you always go professional or do you try to do stuff yourself? What stuff should always be professional and what stuff is easy to DIY?

Emily Ruth's avatar

I second this question as someone who just bought their first house.

VERY HYPOTHETICAL (because your children are angels and you’d never actually find yourselves in this situation), but, how do you think dads would handle their kid getting arrested compared to moms?

Knox McCoy's avatar

ohhhh i like this one!

I just finished Million Dollar Secret, and I’d love to hear your takeaways. How much do we think production influenced the outcome? I think the editing was light years away from The Traitors and Survivor, but it’s still new. Also, not to sound like a granny, but I appreciated the lack of language compared to The Traitors.

Knox McCoy's avatar

can confirm, I also VERY MUCH appreciated the lack of language as compared to the traitors.

Why do y'all sneeze like you're trying to expel a demon? Like, I know sneezes are a bit of a powerful force, but my God, is the scream-sneeze combo necessary?

Emily Ruth's avatar

I'm like my dad but if he was a girl, and I inherited the Dad Sneeze. :D

But does everyone in a 3 mile radius have to be part of the experience?!

Knox McCoy's avatar

OF COURSE IT IS NECESSARY. It's an entire sensory experience.

Very serious, not at all snarky, FOR REALZ question: how do I get my in-almost-all-ways-awesome-E1 Husband to realize that just because he said sorry (and, does mean it) it doesn’t mean it’s over? Like, I know you understand, and are genuinely apologetic, but I’m still metaphorically bleeding, here. And yes, I’ve tried the broken plate/nail holes in a fence analogies. He’s seemingly baffled.

Knox McCoy's avatar

ohhhhh good question!
