We moved back home to Tennessee three years ago.
One year ago, we secured a construction loan to build a new home on family land in what most people would call “the country.”1
Now, we are a little over two months away from finishing construction.
That move three years ago feels like it happened a million years ago.
The last year has felt like a billion years, and these next two months are sure to feel like a trillion.
This is the first time we’ve built, but I can confidently say that nothing in the world will teach you patience like watching your house be constructed. Or watching cows watch you scrutinize whether or not anything new has been done to the house in a few days.
